LiberPay Fee Schedule

Effective September 20, 2026. This schedule replaces all previous versions.

A payment transaction means the transfer of digital currency tokens from a buyer of goods or services to a seller.

A transaction is cross-border when the two accounts are registered in different countries. Personal accounts are assigned a country when they sign up. Business accounts are assigned the country in which the business is registered, chosen when the account is created. We compare the country on each of the two accounts. We do not determine this from anything observed on the blockchain.

How our fee works

We never take a share of your payment. The full amount a buyer sends always reaches the seller. Nothing is withheld from the payment, and we are never in possession of it.

Where a fee applies, it is debited from the balance the account holds with LiberPay after the free trial period has ended. The transaction value is used only to calculate the amount of that debit. If the balance is insufficient, the account is asked to top it up; the payment itself is unaffected.

One rate applies everywhere. Only the cap changes.

Peer-to-peer transactions

Peer-to-peer payments between accounts registered in the same country carry no LiberPay fee. Buyers and sellers each pay their own Polygon network fees, set by the network at the time of the transaction.

Cross-border peer-to-peer payments carry a fee of 0.3% of the payment value or 0.50 USDC, whichever is lower, debited from the sender’s LiberPay balance. This applies from the date cross-border peer-to-peer payments become available in your market.

Peer-to-peer transactions may only be used for digital currency payments.

Identity verification is required after 25 purchase transactions, on any purchase of R$5,000 or more, or before selling through the peer-to-peer system.

Business accounts

The first 100 (50?) same country payment transactions carry no LiberPay fee. During this trial period, only Polygon network fees apply.

The first 25 cross border payment transactions carry no LiberPay fee. During this trial period, only Polygon network fees apply.

After the 25th payment transaction within a country or 25th payment cross border:

  • Payments between accounts in the same country: 0.3% of the payment value or 0.50 USDC, whichever is lower.
  • Cross-border payments: 0.3% of the payment value, with no cap.

In both cases the fee is debited from the seller’s LiberPay balance. Buyers and sellers each pay their own network fees.

Network fees and NFT receipts

Polygon network fees are set by the network at the time of each transaction. LiberPay does not receive them.

Where an NFT receipt is issued, the seller’s LiberPay balance is debited for the network cost of minting it.

Card payments

Business accounts may separately enable a Stripe gateway to accept credit card payments, subject to Stripe’s own terms, conditions and fees. NFT receipts are not issued for fiat currency transactions, and LiberPay charges no fee on them.

PIX

Business accounts may separately enable a Woovi gateway to accept PIX payments, subject to Woovi’s own terms, conditions and fees. NFT receipts are not issued for fiat currency transactions, and LiberPay charges no fee on them.

Identity verification

When a new user creates a LiberPay account, the cost of identity verification is charged by LiberPay at the following rates, in any currency used:

  • Business verification: the equivalent of 1.90 USDC.
  • Individual verification: the equivalent of 1.48 USDC.

For the first 1,000 business customers verifying with a CNPJ, LiberPay waives the verification fee.

Other transactions

Users may carry out other transactions on the platform, including but not limited to:

  • Returning funds from a seller to a buyer where goods or services are returned;
  • Withdrawing the balance of a payment gateway;
  • Configuring currencies and other options in the payment gateway.

These carry Polygon network fees only. LiberPay charges nothing additional for them.
